Vacancy for Facility Coordinator at Barabar Centre

The Barabar Centre is an initiative aimed at fostering reconciliation, integration, and trust-building at the grassroots level in Kosovo. The Centre is a dynamic open space for professional, social, and
cultural interactions among diverse communities in Kosovo and it’s based in Pristina (Hotel Grand 4th Floor). The project is a collaboration between two civil society organizations, the Center for Affirmative Social Actions (CASA) and Integra.
The Facility Coordinator will assist the Facility Manager in ensuring the smooth daily operations of the Barabar Centre. This role is crucial in maintaining a welcoming and functional environment conducive to the Centre’s mission of fostering inter-ethnic reconciliation and integration.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the day-to-day management of the Centre’s facilities, ensuring that
the Centre is clean, safe, and welcoming for all visitors. - Monitor the use of space and resources to ensure they are used effectively and
efficiently. - Support the planning and execution of events, workshops, and activities hosted at
the Centre. - Coordinate with external vendors and service providers as needed for events.
- Assist in setting up and breaking down event spaces.
- Maintain accurate records of facility usage and inventory.
- Provide administrative support to the Facility Manager, including handling
correspondence and documentation, assisting with scheduling and booking
spaces within the Centre. - Act as a point of contact for visitors and users of the Centre, providing
information and assistance as needed. - Ensure that all facility equipment is well-maintained.
- Assist in implementing safety protocols and emergency procedures.

Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in facilities management or a related field will be an asset.
- Proficiency in Serbian and English is required. Additional knowledge of the Albanian language will be considered as an asset.
- Previous experience in a facilities coordinator or similar role desirable.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google (Booking, Calendar, etc.).
- Basic understanding of facility management principles.
