From July 29 to August 1, 2024, CASA organized a dynamic training program in Durrës/Drač, empowering young leaders from the Awakening social movement across Serbian communities in Kosovo. This initiative aims to equip participants with the skills and knowledge necessary for effective advocacy, increased civic engagement, and active involvement in shared community agendas.
Over three days, the program focused on two core themes: cultivating a strong work culture and fostering personal and communal leadership. Participants engaged in interactive sessions on active listening, communication, work ethics, responsibility, constructive discussion, time management, and decision-making. On the final day, they applied these skills by developing actionable plans for their communities.
The training brought together 20 motivated young leaders who demonstrated creativity, commitment, and a clear sense of direction. The shared goals fostered a strong sense of unity and purpose among the participants, setting the stage for impactful community-driven initiatives.
This training is the first in a series of sessions under the “Awakening” initiative, supported by the National Endowment for Democracy (NED). The program aims to empower young leaders to drive positive change and actively shape the future of their communities.
