Call for Applications: Program Assistant (Albanian Ethnic Background)

NGO CASA is announcing a vacancy for the position of Program Assistant, specifically for local candidates of K-Albanian ethnic background. The introduction of this position aims to enhance the organization’s capacity for more effective communication in the Albanian language and to integrate multiethnic and multicultural perspectives into the team and the organization’s work.

Position essentials:

Duty Station: CASA Office, Anri Dinana 16/50 North Mitrovica. Please note that remote or hybrid working formats are NOT an option considered for this position.
Starting date: 01 February 2025

Responsibilities

• Actively engage in project implementation by contributing to tasks requiring knowledge of the Albanian language and community perspectives.
• Build and maintain effective communication channels with stakeholders from the Albanian community to support project objectives.
• Develop culturally relevant content for Albanian-speaking audiences as part of broader outreach efforts.
• Contribute to research activities by providing insights and context on relevant issues
• Support the planning and execution of events and initiatives that foster intercultural dialogue and understanding.
• Collaborate across teams to ensure that multiethnic perspectives are integrated into various projects and activities.

Requirements

• Native Albanian language speaker.
• Working knowledge of English is required, while knowledge of Serbian will be considered an advantage
• At least 1 year of working experience in the civic sector.
• Proven ability to operate and work effectively in a multiethnic environment, integrating multiethnic perspectives into tasks and projects.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, email).
