What the Project Aspires to Achieve
The BIG Project aims to strengthen grassroots civic actors, promote gender-inclusive cultural engagement, and connect community-based work with national policy efforts. It supports local initiatives that use creative tools to address exclusion, foster inter-community dialogue, and influence decision-making.
Key Components
- Barabar Grassroots Network (BGN): A cooperation platform uniting at least 15 grassroots CSOs and 10 women artists/activists
- Training & Capacity Building: Focused on art for social change, inclusive local action, and project development
- Creative Initiatives: Local-level projects advancing inclusion through arts and culture
- Policy Hackathons: Collaborative events to produce policy inputs grounded in grassroots experience
- Gender Focus: Structural support and visibility for women’s leadership in cultural and civic life
