Barabar Grassroot Network Launches Community Initiatives Across Kosovo

The Barabar Center recently hosted the Second Meeting of the Barabar Grassroot Network (BGN), marking an important milestone in the implementation phase of the BIG Project funded by the European Union.

The event brought together members of the BGN Network, including women activists, artists, and civil society organizations from across Kosovo, to officially launch a new cycle of locally led initiatives focused on social inclusion, community engagement, and intercommunity cooperation.

During the meeting, contracts were officially signed with beneficiaries whose small-scale initiatives were selected for support through the project. The supported initiatives will be implemented over the next six months in various communities throughout Kosovo. Through art, culture, dialogue, and civic participation, these initiatives aim to create inclusive spaces for cooperation, creativity, and meaningful community engagement. The activities will address local needs while strengthening connections among communities and encouraging active participation at the grassroots level. The gathering also provided an opportunity for participants to connect, exchange ideas, and discuss the importance of locally driven initiatives in promoting sustainable social change.

The upcoming months will bring a diverse range of community events, artistic activities, workshops, discussions, and public initiatives led by BGN members across Kosovo. The BIG Project and the Barabar Grassroot Network continue to support local actors who contribute to building a more inclusive, connected, and participatory society.
