Regular Coordination Meeting of the Kosovo Inclusive Network Coalition

On May 15th in Štrpce, a regular coordination meeting of the Kosovo Inclusive Network (KIN) coalition was held, with the participation of coalition members: NGO CASA, NGO Factor, NGO Primo la Tolleranza, and Handikos Ranilug.

The main topics of the meeting were networking the coalition with national actors and planning upcoming activities. Through constructive discussion, coalition members agreed on several important decisions and next steps.

One of the key decisions made at the meeting was to hold regular quarterly meetings. In addition, a conference is planned for September with national stakeholders, including the Kosovo Disability Forum and Handikos Kosovo. The goal of this conference will be to involve KIN members in the process of developing national strategic plans and contributing to the drafting of a comprehensive law on persons with disabilities.

The program director of NGO CASA, Boban Simić, proposed strengthening the coalition’s capacity through structural grants, highlighting this as one of the primary focuses for future activities.

The next coordination meeting is planned for August when coalition members will work on detailed planning for the upcoming national conference. These activities are part of the broader efforts of the coalition to actively engage in the formation of policies and legislation that will improve the position of persons with disabilities in Kosovo.
