The Second Training for BGN Members – “Ensuring Inclusiveness in Local Initiatives”

From 14th to 16th of November, 2025, the second training for members of the Barabar Grassroot Network (BGN), dedicated to the theme “Ensuring Inclusiveness in Local Initiatives” was held. During the sessions, participants explored practical tools for designing community actions that are accessible, inclusive, and responsive to the needs of all community members.

The focus of the training was on understanding how to identify and remove barriers that prevent meaningful participation. Together, participants reflected on what it takes to ensure that everyone, regardless of identity, background, or social position, can access and enjoy art, culture, and community activities. True inclusiveness begins with awareness, empathy, and a shared commitment to creating spaces where every voice feels welcome and every person can belong.

The training was part of broader effort to enhance the capacities and resources of grassroots civic, art, and culture stakeholders so they can effectively apply creative tools from art and culture to foster inter-community cohesion and social inclusion. It aimed to equip BGN members with essential knowledge and skills to meaningfully leverage artistic and cultural initiatives at both local and central levels.

Along the way, new connections were made, conversations deepened, and moments were shared that reminded us why inclusive communities matter.

This training was organized by Integra and Center for Affirmative Social Actions – CASA, as part of The BIG Project – Barabar Initiative (going) Grassroot, supported by the European Union in Kosovo.
